I have always been interested in the forest and all that live there, i have spent time as a cowboy, logger, trapper, guide, mountain guide, forest fire fighter, photographer and now web master on a wilderness sight that tells all about my Island ( Vancouver Island BC Canada). My boys have joined me in this adventure of building our site, many many trips into the mountains to gather photos of our animals, plants, insects, trees and all the rivers and lakes. It has been so enjoyable to do this with my sons, they are both so good in the wilderness. They do me proud.
I am also involved in going into the Island schools to teach children about our wild places and all that lives there. Its wonderful to see all their faces looking intently at you as you describe what is just off the beaten track. Maybe they will learn to love the mother earth as much as I and my boys do, one can always hope.
My family and I have been involved in our native culture as well and on many occasions have performed dance and song to others, we had the opertunity to perform at the common wealth games when they were on our Island a few years back.
