On November 11th 2013, the Irish music band THE YANKS stepped into the studios of WFUV on the campus of Fordham University. Their hostess was veteran broadcaster Kathleen Biggins whose program 'A Thousand Welcomes' showcases the best of Celtic music. Their 2013 eponymous debut recording made it to the #1 position on Bandcamp.com's worldwide sales list, even edging out the rap artist Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan! The band have toured nationwide, appearing at prestigious festivals such as the Austin Celtic Festival.
